New Year and New Blog!

April 2011. EEK! That was the last time I got my blog on. I am a great starter but a horrible follow througher-er. Yeah......so if you are one of those people that have deep physical reactions to grammatical errors, misplaced punctuation and made up words, then run! Run far away from me and my blog! But if you are a person (I think I read somewhere that you are never suppose to start a sentence with but, but whatever) that likes or even better LOVES scrapbooking, all things Pinterest, scrapbooking, pink, DIYs and SCRAPBOOKING this just might become one of your happy places! Speaking of happy places mine is finally complete and this past weekend my BFF and I took her out for a test drive if you will! If you won't then let's just say that we got our scrap on in my new and improved scrap studio! It's beautiful! I will have to take some pictures to show her off and maybe a couple of scrapbook pages we completed too! Ok! Now I have officially brought my blog into the new year! Yay me! Happy New Year!

All bark and no bite!

I can talk the talk but have a hard time walking the walk! After my big "I will buy no cards" declaration, I bought a freaking card! It was only a buck but I bought it! Not only did I buy a card this weekend, I did not make a single card! What a loser right?! Spring Break is officially here and I see card making in my future. I also see card making in YOUR future and since my slacking has earned you more time as well you have no excuse. Make some cards and send me some pics please!

I will not......................

Buy a single card this year! That is my paper crafting pledge. Why would I? Am I stupid? I have all the makings of a great card at my finger tips. I have all that Junque in My Trunque, if you will! I have made my own Christmas cards for the last couple of years so why would I not do this for all the other occasions that life throws my way. I am amazed at the creativity of others as I flip through the May/June issue of Paper Crafts Mazagine (intentional misspell, that's how we say it in our house) It's a beautiful issue filled with all kinds of gorgeous and cutie cards. Even some great masculine cards for the Men in our lives! I am inspired! I am gonna do this! I am gonna have a card making day on Saturday to get my "Stock" started. I will make at least 5 different cards for 5 different occasions. Anyone want to join me? I double dog dare you to do the same! Send me your pics of your cards that you make over the weekend and I will post them on my blog and a lucky card maker will win a prize!!!!! Maybe we could do an "American Card Maker Idol" with voting and all!!! Come on......who doesn't want to that title?

Websters Pages!

I am newly obsessed with Websters Pages! How have I not heard of you before? Where have you been all of my scrapbooking life? I am not sure how long they have been around but they are new to me and I am having so much fun getting to know their products. I actually first stumbled upon Websters Pages while browsing through "scrapbook supplies" on ebay the other day. Then my favie site Scrapbook.com posted this video today! It must be fate! Websters Pages and I are meant to be. It's destiny! I am looking forward to many years of blissful pages with my new love. I thought I would share the video just in case you haven't heard of them yet. Now this is just ONE of their cutie paper designs. Check em out and let me know what you think! New DCWV Stacks!

There are new stacks coming to our friend, Jo-Ann's  in April!  This makes me super happy because I am so over the stack selection in the store!  All the Stacks are unique and different but I am most excited about the Lemon Flower Stack and the Tattered Time Stack!  The yellow and black in the Lemon Stack is so sophisticated and fun while the Tattered Stack has a very Tim Holtz feel to it. I am excited to finally have my blog up and so cute too boot.  It took most of yesterday to get it looking this cutie and it will only get cutier (thanks Mr. Young for your help).  As always I have a vision and an idea of how I want things to look and usually don't present them until they are perfect.  Well perfection doesn't get the job done.  Perfection leaves a lot of unfinished ideas and projects for me.  Procrastinators are really perfectionists and I am a perfect procrastinator! So here is my perfectly imperfect blog in its infancy. ( It's a girl! )  Finally a place to share my ideas, my junque, my steals and deals, tips and tricks and all my other favies!  I hope this is also a place to meet lots of other scrap addicts and junque hoarders just like me so I can share your ideas, tips and tricks and post your projects too!
